Can Simple Search-Replace search and replace text within Word or Excel documents?
No Simple Search-Replace cannot find or replace text that exists within Microsoft Word or Excel documents. This reason is that our Simple Search-Replace opens the file and searches for the exact text you entered. When Microsoft Word and Excel documents are saved, the text within the document is encrypted so it is not readible in plain text.
